Have you noticed small changes?

When you spend time with loved ones, small changes can become more visible. Perhaps you've noticed:

  • They seem more tired than you remember
  • Moving around the house takes longer, or feels less steady
  • Daily routines – cooking, getting dressed, managing medication – have become harder
  • The house feels less tidy, or the fridge less stocked
  • They're less keen to go out, or seem more isolated

These aren't signs of crisis. They're signs that a little flexible support could make life easier – for everyone.

What is Flexicare?

Flexicare is our flexible home care service, designed for people who need support but don't want to be tied into rigid schedules or fixed packages.

  • Care that's a phonecall away
  • Use as much or as little support as you need
  • Increase or decrease visits as circumstances change
  • Professional carers who get to know you personally
  • Local team based in Bath and the surrounding area

Not like traditional care

Many care agencies offer fixed packages with set hours and strict schedules. That works for some people – but not everyone. Flexicare is built for flexibility. Start with a little help, add more if needed, scale back when things improve.

When Flexicare helps most

Flexicare is designed for the early stages – before things become urgent. It works well when:

  • Someone could manage most things independently, but occasional support would make life easier
  • A recent illness or fall has knocked confidence, and some temporary help would aid recovery
  • Daily tasks like cooking or personal care are becoming harder, but full-time care isn't needed
  • Family members want to stay involved but can't always be there
  • Someone is recovering from hospital and needs support during the transition home
  • There's concern about isolation, and regular friendly visits would help

Flexicare is about early intervention – supporting independence, not creating dependency.

How it works

  1. Have a conversation: Call us or fill in the form, and we'll arrange a chat. We'll listen to your situation and explain how Flexicare might help – with no obligation.
  2. We visit and understand: If it feels right, we'll arrange a home visit to properly understand what support would make the biggest difference.
  3. We match you with the right carer: We carefully select a carer who's a good fit – someone your family will feel comfortable with and trust.
  4. Flexible support begins: You can rest easy knowing that we're here when you need us. From a single visit to a longer period of support, we're just a phonecall away.

Why families trust us

We've been supporting families in Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire for over a decade. Here's what makes us different:

Local and personal

We're not a national franchise. We're a local team who know the area and take time to understand each family we support.

Person-centred approach

Every care plan is built around the person – their preferences, their routines, their goals. We work with you, not around you.

Trusted and regulated

We're registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), so you can be confident in the quality of care we provide.

No pressure

We'll never push you into more care than you need. Our job is to support your independence, not create dependency.

Our mission: Help people need less care in later life.

Questions families often ask

How much does Flexicare cost?

A simple set up fee of £149 covers your assessment which lasts for 6 months. Then, whenever you need care and support, you just pay the same rate as clients with regular care packages - no premium for flexibility.

Can we start with just a little help?

You can just have a single visit when you need it, or have more regular care for a period of time, whatever you need, whenever you need it.

What if my parent doesn't want help?

This is very common. We find that framing support as a trial, or focusing on specific tasks rather than 'care', can help. We're happy to chat through approaches that might work for your family.

Do you cover my area?

We support families across Bath, North East Somerset, and parts of Wiltshire. Get in touch and we'll let you know if we can help in your area.

How quickly can support start?

It depends on the situation, but we can often arrange an initial visit within a few days. For urgent situations, we'll do our best to respond quickly.
