Christmas 2024 Campaign
Did you notice a few things when you visited this Christmas?
They stayed with you after you left. Spending time with your parents often brings small changes into focus — a little less balance, less confidence, more hesitation. Prevent+ helps support strength and stability early, before more care is needed.
- Support before it becomes care
- Build strength and steadiness
- Reduce the risk of falls
- Protect independence for longer

You weren't looking for signs.
But you noticed them anyway.
- Getting up from the chair took a little longer.
- The stairs were taken more carefully.
- Walks felt shorter than they used to.
It didn't feel like an emergency. But it didn't feel like nothing.
Noticing changes doesn't mean your parent suddenly needs care.
But it does mean there's value in acting early.
Prevent+ is designed for this exact moment — supporting strength, balance and confidence so independence can last longer.
The signs that stay with you
After spending time together, you noticed things you hadn't before:
- Holding the banister more tightly
- Taking longer to stand up from a chair
- Avoiding uneven ground or hesitating at kerbs
- Less confidence walking outdoors
- Moving more carefully around their own home
These aren't just 'getting older' — they're signs that strength and balance are changing. The good news? There's something you can do about it.
You noticed for a reason. That awareness matters.
What is Prevent+?
Prevent+ is a structured, in-home strength and balance programme designed to:
- Improve stability and confidence
- Reduce the risk of falls
- Support independence at home
- Delay the need for more formal care
Support before care — a sensible in-between.
Prevent+ Helps With…
The programme focuses on four key areas that protect independence:
Strength
Building the muscle strength needed for daily activities – getting up from chairs, climbing stairs, carrying shopping.
Balance
Improving your body's ability to stay stable and recover quickly if you stumble or trip.
Mobility
Maintaining the flexibility and range of movement that keeps you active and comfortable.
Confidence
Rebuilding the self-assurance to move freely without fear of falling.
Together, these improvements create lasting protection for independence.
Who is Prevent+ for?
Prevent+ is designed for people who want to act early — before waiting becomes a regret:
Families who've noticed changes
You've spent time together and noticed your parent or loved one becoming less steady. You want to do something — without jumping straight to care.
Those who've had a near-miss
A stumble, a grab for support, a close call. You know something should change.
Those becoming less confident
Avoiding certain activities, holding onto furniture, or moving more carefully than before.
Those who want to stay ahead
You'd rather act now than wait for something to happen.
If what you noticed has been sitting in the back of your mind — that awareness is telling you something.

Questions about Prevent+
How soon can we start?
We can usually arrange an initial conversation within a few days. Home assessments are typically scheduled within a week or two of that first chat.
How quickly will I see results?
Most people notice improvements in confidence and stability within the first few weeks. Measurable gains in strength and balance typically become clear within 6-8 weeks of consistent coaching. Many clients tell us family members notice the difference before they do!
Is this painful or hard?
Not at all. Prevent+ is designed to be challenging enough to make a difference, but never painful or overwhelming. Your coach adapts every session to your current ability, and exercises progress gradually as you get stronger.
What if I've never exercised before?
That's absolutely fine – many of our clients haven't exercised in years, or ever. Prevent+ starts from where you are now, not where you 'should' be. Your coach will tailor everything to your current fitness level.
How is Prevent+ different from physiotherapy?
While physiotherapy typically addresses specific injuries or conditions, Prevent+ is an ongoing coaching programme focused on maintaining and improving overall physical capability. It's proactive rather than reactive.
Do I need to buy equipment?
No specialist equipment is required. Your coach will bring everything needed for your sessions, and any recommended home exercises use simple items you'll already have.
How much does Prevent+ cost?
Pricing depends on the frequency and duration of coaching sessions. We'll discuss costs openly during our initial conversation – there are no hidden fees.
What areas do you cover?
Prevent+ is currently available in Bath, North East Somerset, and West Wiltshire. If you're just outside these areas, still get in touch – we'll let you know what's possible.
